Week 20: Christmas Eve Baptism

December 26, 2017

Wow, what an awesome week! It was so great to be able to teach people about Jesus Christ during the time when we celebrate his birth! The members here are so nice and really made it feel like home.

The highlight of this week was definitely the baptism of Kyle Taylor. It made Christmas 100 times better to have seen him make that important step towards Christ. He was baptized on the 24th and confirmed on Christmas day, such a cool baptism! It was extra great because he asked me to baptize him and it was just a perfect baptismal service.

It was really great because we were able to do some service this week at loaves and fishes which is a homeless shelter. We got to hand out food baskets for Christmas and it was amazing to see how happy it made these people. We also got some food baskets from our ward and were able to hand them out to some struggling investigators and less active members that we are working with.

Christmas day was really fun, we went to a great church service and got to sing in the choir. We went to dinner with a couple families from the ward and they really felt like family and made Christmas pretty great. The best part was definitely being able to talk with my family! It was great to be able to see and hear them for a little bit.

It was a great Christmas and I hope it went well for everyone back home as well! Love you all

Week 19: Merry Christmas, Another Trio, A New Name

December 19, 2017

Wow this has been an exciting week! It snowed pretty good this week so it has been like biking on an ice rink for the past few day, way more fun! It was also my first time in below zero weather and I think the Lord is thickening my blood or making me fatter or something to help with the cold so that is nice. Christmas came up so fast too. It doesn't feel like I have been gone long enough to talk to my family yet.

This week we had interviews with the mission president and it went really well. President Rehm is an awesome man and I gain more respect for him every time I talk with him. He is almost done with his mission, they only have about 6 months left until he and his wife are released.

We were also able to pick up our new companion, Elder Zaugg. He is from Canada and only has one transfer left of his mission. He is a really funny guy and we get along well! We probably only have 2 weeks as companions though because transfers are coming up.

We had the opportunity to start teaching temple prep lessons to the Wollmans and I love them so much, they are hilarious! They were a less active couple that the missionaries have been teaching for a while and are finally preparing to enter the temple! Sister Wollman has given nicknames to all the missionaries and I'm Maverick for some unknown reason.

I am still so excited about Kyle and Ahriana! We started teaching the lessons over again with Ahriana there and it is amazing. Kyle is still planning on being baptized on Christmas Eve and they are just doing so well.

I am so lucky to be serving in Canon City 1st ward. There are so many members here that are amazing examples to me and I love being able to serve around them. I feel so much closer to Jesus Christ through working to build His kingdom in this ward.

I hope everyone has a great time celebrating the birth of our Savior and remembers the reason for the season!

Week 18: Snow!

December 12, 2016

Another awesome week come and gone! It finally got cold out during the beginning of this week and it snowed! I didn't think I would love the cold too much but it is the best! It is also really fun to bike in the snow, I only slipped like 5 times so I'd say I did a pretty alright job. The weird thing about Canon City is that the weather changes so quickly. It was cold and snowing for a few days and now its back up in the 50'2 and 60's.

This was a really spiritual week for me though. I really felt close to my Savior and felt my testimony strengthened that He is the way to peace and happiness and really just the center of everything good.

Hunter was going to be baptized this last Saturday but the man he wanted to baptize him was out of town until Christmas! He really wanted him to baptize him so he decided to wait which is a bit of a bummer but he is still staying strong so it will work out.

Kyle and his wife Ahriana are progressing so well and I am so excited for them! It was so key to get Ahriana there to the lessons because now they are both way more motivated about the gospel! I was so excited when they told us that they had done couple scripture study everyday this week. He is planning on being baptized on the 24th! What an awesome Christmas for them.

We had a Christmas Zone Conference this week and it was real uplifting. One thing that stuck out to me that our president said was that these will be the best 2 Christmas's of our lives because you get to spend them with Christ.

We also got a call on Sunday from the AP's letting us know that we are getting another companion! His name is Elder Zaugg and he was companions with Elder Coverly a few months ago. I'm pretty excited to meet him but man it looks like I'll never go a transfer without being in a trio.

Anyways I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and remembering the true meaning of Christmas. If you haven't already, look of the Church's Christmas initiative on mormon.org!

Week 17: Sleeping Probs & Stake Conference

December 5, 2016

This week was so great! It's finally starting to get cold out and everyone is putting up their Christmas lights, best time of year! We had some awesome success and miracles this week and I just had a lot of fun with it all.

We had Stake Conference this weekend and it was one of the best ones I have been to. The theme was "spiritual self-reliance" and all of the talks were very powerful. One speaker shared the story of a ten year period in his life when he was sued for 400 million dollars and was constantly and falsely advertised as a criminal in the news. The other 3 owners of the company were in a similar situation and 2 of them committed suicide along with some of their wives. The other owner pleaded guilty to a crime he didn't commit so that he would be put in prison and the people coming after him would finally leave him alone. The speaker shared how he and his wife made it out of that situation fine. He said it was due to their cleaving to their temple covenants and the promise from the Savior that all would be fine. It was such a strengthening talk.

It was also a pretty funny week because of my sleeping problems haha. According to all of my companions, I talk in my sleep a lot. They think it is pretty funny because I have a really good attitude in my sleep and am saying stuff like "Aw man thats sick!" or "Woodland Park? Sweet!" The funniest night though was when I woke up and was freaking out because I thought we had lost the phone. So I was tearing off my bedding and stuff and then I turned on the light and woke up my companion and told him I couldn't find the phone and he was obviously confused haha. then I went and grabbed the phone and said I was going to call the Elders in the other ward and ask them where the phone was........so after my companion told me I had the phone in my hand, I went back to bed very confused haha.

Anyways, we have had some amazing spiritual experiences this week as well. Hunter is doing so well and is planning to be baptized on the 10th! So excited for him! He also drove down on Sunday to the Springs to watch Stake Conference instead of watching the broadcast because he wanted to meet more people, golden!!

Kyle is also progressing very well! We finally met his inactive wife and had a super spiritual lesson. We talked about families and the temple and she bore her testimony about wanting to have a priesthood holder in the home and being married in the temple and was crying and it was just perfect. I think Kyle will really be even more motivated now that his wife is getting more involved.

This week I have really felt closer to my Savior and it is great. Well I hope everyone has a fantastic week and merry Christmas!

Elder Morgan

Week 16: Service, Funny Hats, and Goats

November 28, 2016

Man it was a good week! Crazy how fast everything is going by! We had a really fun and successful week and got to eat way too much food.

Thanksgiving was awesome! We went to 2 member's houses and they fed us so much! I think i gained like 8 pounds. We also got to watch a movie that morning and that was really nice, we watched Zootopia. The Jorden's sent us home with enough food to last through next week.

We have 2 people that are preparing for baptism right now, Hunter and Kyle. They are both so cool and really solid. Kyle is 25 and is married to a less active member that is coming back to church. He is set on being baptized and I love teaching him. Hunter Is an investigator we got from the sister missionaries and he is so solid. He is an "honest seeker of truth" and really loves to learn. I am so excited about them.

I think this Sunday was the best of my mission so far, we had 2 investigators there and 3 less active members! It is so cool seeing people come closer to Christ. it was so great this week because I had a lot of chances to exercise the Priesthood. We had a few investigators and members ask for blessings and it was really special to be able to serve them in that way.

One of my favorite parts about serving a mission is doing service in the community. We get many chances to serve the people in Canon City. We were able to paint a ladies porch who was going through a really hard time. her mother and son will passing away soon and after we painted her porch we were able to give her and her daughter a priesthood blessing that really helped them.

Elder Coverly is pretty hilarious, he wants to get a goat. He also found this Russian hat at the thrift store that he now wears around everywhere so that makes things interesting.

Elder Coverly's Favorite Hat

He also wants a goat...

Anyways I hope everyone is having happy holidays, love you all!

Week 15: Happy Thanksgiving & Transferred to Canon City 1st Ward

November 21, 2016

What an awesome week! I am having a blast with Elder Coverly and due to a last minute change by President Rehm, we are serving in 1st ward instead of 2nd! It is such a fun area, the people are so nice and the members are great! We don't have a car, so being in a biking only area was definitely a change. I love biking though and it is perfect weather for it right now.

Elder Coverly and Jonah

This last pday was so cool. We went to Bishop's Castle which is this huge castle that a man made by hand! The architecture is a questionably secure and it is super tall but that made it even more awesome!

Jonah's "Mission Mom" which is the sister who has been out the longest in your first district

It said that I am now in 1st ward! Pres made a last minute change and I have been loving it! Elder Coverly is great, we get along really well. The work is going well in 1st ward, we have one with a baptismal date and quite enough to keep us busy. For thanksgiving we get to watch a pg movie! We are then going over to a couple members houses for food. We have had one cold and windy day but for the most part it is stil;l 60-70's. Serving in 1st ward had been great. We have Kyle with a baptismal date right now but he is really struggling to make it to church! It was really convenient because I started teaching Kyle in 2nd ward and then right around when we were covering both wards, he moved into 1st ward. I'm happy to still be able to teach him.

Elder Coverly is from Idaho and is a really funny farm boy. We are having a blast working in this area. We work with a lot of less active and part member families in this ward. I love the people we are working with but sometimes I just get frustrated because they are not making the right choices. I guess that's how Heavenly Father feels when we don't use our agency wisely.

We saw some fantastic miracles this week. The first night we were together in 1st ward, we were biking home and saw this guy walking on the sidewalk. We just rode on by but the spirit prompted me to turn around and go talk to him so we did. It turned out that he was a really inactive member and wants to come back! We set up an appointment with him and then when we showed up, we taught him and his nonmember brother the restoration. He said he really wanted to come back to church and his brother is now taking the lessons! Super cool.

There are also just some really kind people here. We started talking to this homeless lady at the library and taught her a lesson. After the lesson she bought us some hot chocolate which really humbled me because she is homeless and we are meeting her again to have another lesson! We were also able to do service for a lady in the ward and the following Sunday she gave us blankets that she had made! It was pretty amazing to meet so many kind people this week.

Anyways hopefully everyone has a great week and a happy thanksgiving!

Week 14: 3 Months!

November 14, 2016

Wow this was another crazy, blessed and happy week! I have had so much fun serving in Canon City 1st and 2nd ward. It was really busy holding down 2 areas though, we had appointments coming out of our ears, which was a very happy thing.

This week we worked a lot with some less active people we came into contact with and got them to church! It was so cool because one day a couple weeks ago we were leaving an appointment that had cancelled and this man walked up to us and started talking to us. It turned out that he was a less active member that had been baptized 2 years ago. He still had a strong testimony and was happy to have us over to teach him and his family. His wife is also a memebr and they have a 1 year old daughter. One night we went over for a lesson and they had a friend move in with them that sat in for the lesson. We asked if she wanted to learn more when we were leaving and now she is investigating the church. So cool how the Lord works.

It was a bummer because we had a bunch of people that were committed to baptism that over the past few weeks have dropped us. But we have 2 really solid guys, Ethan and Kyle, with baptismal dates that I am so excited about.

It was a sad week though because Elder Soller and Sister Pearce went home due to medical problems. Our district is a lot smaller now. It was great though because we got a call from President Rehm last night letting us know that Elder Coverly is coming back to the mission. He was also sent home last transfer due to medical problems but is healthy again. He will be my companion in 2nd ward starting tomorrow and that will probably last through the next transfer.

This has been a crazy training so far but I guess that's what keeps it fun. Anyways I hope everyone is well and happy!

Elder Morgan

Week 13: Back to a Trio

November 7, 2016

Wow this was a crazy week. We saw a ton of miracles this week and excluding the accident that happened it was a really fun and different week.

Anyways about the accident. So last pday we were all hiking skyline drive, which is this really cool road on the peak of this ridge and stopped to take in the view for a minute. Elder Soller decided to go a little bit off the path and climb on a ledge on the side of the cliff. He was holding onto the side and one of the rocks broke off that he was holding and he lost his balance and fell about 20 feet and then rolled the rest of the way down the side and landed next to the road. It was about 100ft that he fell and was lying at the bottom not moving. The whole district was doing the hike so we called 911 and all ran down to him as fast as we could. I got to him first and gave him a blessing right when I got there. He wouldn't respond to any of us but just kept groaning. But luckily the ambulance came and picked him up pretty quick.

He went to a hospital in Canon City first but then a helicopter flew him to the springs. He ended up having broken ribs, cracked vertebrae, collapsed lung, a real bad concussion and a ton of cuts and bruises. They said it was a miracle that he didn't die and he has been making a fast recovery. He was going to have to have surgery on his knee but both that and his collapsed lung healed on their own. The only thing they are worried about is how much brain damage he has but he has been passing all the tests to check for brain damage. It is just a miracle how well he is doing and there were so many miracles that happened before and after the accident. The power of prayer is so real.

We were able to visit him in the hospital and he is doing really well. He walked 2 flights of stairs yesterday and though he is hurting, he is recovering quickly. We were able to help his parents pack up his stuff today and show them where he fell. They have really strong faith.

So anyways that whole thing made this week really exciting. I now have another companion, Elder Faletau. He is awesome and we are having a blast. We also cover both Canon City 1st and 2nd ward for at least the next two weeks and Elder McCleve and I are now the co-district leaders, whatever that means.

Back to a trio

It was awesome getting to know the people in 1st ward this week, I already love them! Our teaching pool just got a lot bigger so we have a had a really busy week.

One of the less active couples that we are working with in 1st ward went to the temple on Saturday and we go to go with them! We helped with confirmations in the baptistry and it was great to be in the temple again.

This has been an amazing and faith building week. I gain a stronger testimony everyday that this is the Lord's work and I just love being a part of it.

Love,
Elder Morgan

This is a follow up email better describing the fall (as it is now called) from Elder Soller and one of the Sisters who was there that day:

Dear Friends and Family close and far,
The past three weeks have been full of miracles. For those of you who don't know, (most of the missionaries who haven't seen my mom's facebook haha), I was hiking on Halloween with six other missionaries in my area on a beautiful trail with gorgeous views (like the rest of CO). I walked off the trail a little bit to get a better view and then sat down on a ledge to simply enjoy the scenery and views. After I stood up and walked across to go back up the few steps on the other side of a rock, I grabbed something, and my hand lost the grip. I ended up falling about 20 ft. I was told that when I hit the bottom I was out, because for the next 80 feet or so I rolled I was not trying to grab a hold of anything. (By the way, a majority of this email is what I have been told. I remember the events beforehand, however most of it is from people who saw what happened.)

There was a Sister there who saw almost all of it (all but the first instant). The following is her account:

"This week was a blur. And I'm not going to lie, it was definitely the hardest week of my life.

Last Monday we went hiking as a district at this place called Skyline. About a half-mile up the hike we stopped at these rocks that stick out over the cliff. It is a pretty sweet view from the top. Elder Soller decided to walk along this narrow ledge below these rocks. At one point he tried to scale a part of the rocks and the rock he was holding onto broke off and so he fell. First he fell about 20 feet and then he continued rolling head over heels and on his side down the rest of the cliff down to the road below- about 80 more feet. I was in disbelief at what I was witnessing. When he finally stopped rolling I didn't even think and I ran as fast as I could down the trail and then down the road to him. The whole time I was praying that he was alive. But I had also remembered back to earlier in the day-- After us sisters were done emailing we left the family history center and found Elder Morgan sitting in the foyer waiting for the other Elders to finish up. I noticed him reading the missionary handbook. When I asked him what he was reading he said he was reading up on the Priesthood blessings--- By the time I caught up to Elder Morgan and Sister Favre, who had starting running before me, Elder Morgan was finishing up a priesthood blessing. I couldn't believe what a miracle it was that Elder Morgan was so prepared to give Elder Soller that blessing because he had just reviewed how to do it earlier in the day. Miraculously, Elder Soller was alive. But he didn't look too good... I won't go into details but let's just say he looked bad. Me and Sister Favre just knelt by his side telling him to hang in there while we waited for the other missionaries and for the ambulance to show up.

They rushed him to the hospital and we followed after. But within an hour they had to helicopter him up to a better hospital in Colorado Springs. We weren't allowed to go with him. And that made for a harder week, not really knowing how he was doing all that time.

I had a horrible time sleeping that night. For a few days I was in shock and it was hard to get going every day. Somehow we managed to get some work done but it was very difficult. I was honestly ready to quit. Everything just seemed like an impossible task.
On Friday we were able to visit Elder Soller in the hospital and we got to meet his sweet mother. He still looked bad and like he was in a lot of pain but he wasn't nearly as bad as he could have been. Some of his injuries have healed way faster than they should have. It truly was a miracle. He broke two ribs, 4 vertebrae, has a concussion, and staples in his head.

By Saturday I felt a lot better about everything and then on Sunday we were up in Colorado Springs again and were able to see him. He looked WAY better than he did two days before that. He was even able to walk around!

Today his parents came down to Canon City and we took them to the sight of the accident. It was cool to see what a miracle it is that Elder Soller is even alive or even not in worse condition. Seeing the spot where he fell and that it was way farther than what I remembered just tells me that he was truly being watched over and he has much more to do with his life. I think for me it was good to gain more closure with the whole incident. I thought I would have some more anxiety hiking up to the top but I felt really calm and truly amazed that everything worked out the way it did. I couldn't believe how fast we were able to run down the trail because of how risky just the trail is. I honestly don't know how we were able to do it. It shouldn't have worked out the way it did. But Heavenly Father was truly watching out for all of us. There were angels with us that day helping everyone to stay safe and especially to keep Elder Soller safe and alive."

There you go--that is what happened!
Now that it is out of the way, I want to report a few things before I get into the spiritual aspect of blessings received. From the fall I broke two ribs and four vertebrae, had a small puncture in my lung, obviously a major concussion, got 11 staples in my head and two stitches in my right leg just to hold everything together. I didn’t have any surgery, the doctors said they have never seen anything like this – my body just started healing on its own, all of it! This fall happened on Halloween. I was in the hospital for two weeks and have been home for almost 2 weeks. Mentally, the past four weeks didn't even really happen. I remember a few things, but they are very foggy; I don't remember a whole lot of what happened. If you talked to me or visited me the first week of me being home or in the hospital, I might remember you being there, but I most likely don't remember what was said.

When I fell there were many miracles.
1 - I fell to the perfect spot: right next to a road that went up the mountain. If I had stopped falling any sooner, it would have made it more difficult for the medics to get to me--let alone get to me to the ambulance.
2 - The ambulance was just around the corner. There was an ambulance that had been called and reported to a minor accident, which was just around the corner to where I was. When the people I was with called 911 to report the emergency situation, the ambulance was already there and not needed on the scene of the accident.
3 - Shortly after I arrived at the hospital in Canon City, the helicopter arrived to take me to the hospital in Colorado Springs.
I'm sure there are more but those are just a few I know. (Again, from people telling me what happened.)
I don't know how to describe to you some of the realizations, promptings, and knowledge I have received, so I will do my best.
One thing I can say in all honesty is this phrase: "I know my Savior." There aren't words to fully describe to you the depth of what that truly means.

I am so very grateful for the fall. In all honesty, if I could go back, I wouldn't change what happened. I'm amazed by my increased testimony of the Savior and closeness I now feel to Him. I wish there were words to truly describe everything I am feeling. One thing I need to tell you all is that Jesus Christ was there helping me stay alive--I know that. I have talked to some missionaries who were there about some of the feelings they felt and the gist of what was said comes down to the fact that the presence of Jesus Christ was felt so strongly. Those of us who were there truly have a deeper understanding of how much we are constantly surrounded by angels here on earth as well as how much God's hand is constantly right below us all.

I don't know if I am going back out on my mission yet. There have been many promptings I have received about how much I am needed here--in Georgia--right now. I am currently taking it one day at a time. I have been told recovery will be about six months between physical and mental recovery. Until then, I'm just trying to recover and continue to come closer to my Savior. One thing I need to tell you is that your Heavenly Father loves you. I wish I could describe to you the love He really does have for you. He loves you. He knows you by name, and He knows what you're going through. He truly does love you and wants to help you in any way he possibly can THROUGH you choosing to allow Him to help you.
I had a very good friend of mine sing me a song she was prompted to sing to me. "I Stand All Amazed." I would quote the lyrics but she and I both knew the reason that prompting came was because of the very first line, "I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me." I can't describe to you the depth of understanding I have about that phrase. I truly am amazed at the love he has offered me; I am grateful to even be alive, and I know without a doubt the ONLY reason I am still alive is because of the love my Heavenly Father has for me. Now I am trying to figure out what the reason is as to why he kept me alive. I have received some promptings telling some things I need to do, but I feel I don't comprehend anywhere near what he really does have in store for me.

Everyone, like I said before, the ONLY reason I am still alive is because of God. I know and testify that He loves each of you individually. I have handed my life over to Him --anything He asks me to do I will do. He's the reason I'm still here, and my life is in His hands now. I will type out more and share more thoughts but for now that is what I feel I need to share. I love you all and hope you have an incredible Thanksgiving Day today and a great rest of your week. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much to all those who have offered prayers on my behalf, even before the fall I truly could feel strength come to me from those. I more especially thank those of you who have offered prayers on my behalf since the fall. I know they have kept me a live and working towards a miraculous recovery. Again, thank you so much.

If any of you want to ask me any questions, please email me, message me, and find some way to get in contact with me. I enjoy sharing my story, but more importantly, I love helping people come closer to Christ.

--
Warmest Regards,
Elder Levi Snow Soller

Week 12: Happy Halloween

October 31, 2016

This was a real amazing week! I saw many miracles and really learned a lot. I know I say this just about every time but man the weeks go by too fast. It feels like I just emailed yesterday.

There were a lot of tender mercies this week. One day we had all of our appointments fall through and just decided to do a ton of tracting. So we were tracting along and after like 3 hours of zero success, I started to get a little tired but since one of my goals is to stay optimistic, I started giving myself a little pep talk, got myself excited to be on the Lord's errand and said a little prayer. Then the next 2-3 people we talked to sat down with us and offered us some water and we just had some great conversations. I know the Lord was looking out for me and we were able to invite others to come unto Christ.

Our District is also really tight. We got to do some service and had some dinners together this week and I love all the missionaries that I am serving with. We also finally took a took a couple district pictures (Elder McCleve didn't want to be in them so that's why he is hiding). Our District leader, Elder Soller is great and really helped me to become a better missionary this week while talking with him. He reminded me that as missionaries, our purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ  and that "others" means members, companions, less actives and investigators.

The truly miraculous part of this week was just realizing how much I have changed since being out here. It feels like I grow a year's worth every month. The Lord is really helping me to be able to apply what I am teaching to myself as well as with others.

I have a testimony that the gospel of Jesus Christ really is the best way to happiness and peace. I know that the Atonement can change you, if you let it.

Anyways I hope everyone has a wonderful week and stays safe. Happy Halloween!

Love,
Elder Morgan

Week 11: Grandmas and Spirit Animals

October 24, 2016

This week was so great! I love being a missionary! We had a lot of fun being out and working hard to preach the gospel. We saw a lot of miracles and I gain a stronger testimony each week that this is the Lord's gospel and church.

It has also been a very humbling week. I have been praying to learn how I can be a better missionary and man the Lord helped me realize a lot of things I could be doing more effectively. It is amazing that the Lord can work with such imperfect people.

One miracle we saw that made me so happy to see was the transformation that Nathan has gone through. He got a suit and he let me cut his hair and he looks like a new person! I forgot to get a picture but it is amazing what the gospel can do to people. The ward is now helping him on the job search.

We have a lot of people that are committed to baptism right now but are struggling to make it to church and to keep their commitments. I have a lot of fun teaching them though and am praying for them to be converted to the Lord.

We had the opportunity to do a lot of service this week for members and less actives. I love serving the people of Colorado and have felt so much charity for them as I have served them. I am grateful to be here and that I have the opportunity to serve.

My testimony of Christ and this gospel has grown so much. This really is the Lord's work and I have a strong testimony that when you are trying your hardest, the Lord can use you as an instrument in His hands.

The spirit is so real. We were out with a member and had a lesson fall through so we decided to stop by an investigators house that is struggling to know if the gospel is right for her. When we got there she said that that day she had prayed the God would help her and uplift her and said she knew we would be over that day. She has also been struggling to read the Book of Mormon so we read a chapter with her and all of us really felt the spirit. She committed to read a chapter a day. It is so cool to see the Lord work!

Anyways I hope everyone is having as much fun back home as I am having here! I love you all!

This a picture of me trying to sneak up on a bald eagle we saw so I could pet him. I then realized he was a statue....haha just kidding. But the picture of me and that lady is Sister Firedancer. she is this super Native American woman who has visited like 400 reservations. She gave me my spirit animal a couple weeks ago and I'm a beaver... haha, did not expect that but she is one of my favorite ladies here. its like I am collecting grandmas.

Week 10: On Our Own...

October 17, 2016

This week has been awesome! It was great to be with just Elder McCleve, though I do miss Elder Rogers. It was a pretty easy transition to being on our own from having a trainer to help out. The Lord has definitely lifted us up.

We were able to do a lot of service this week and teach a lot of lessons, it was a great week. It is a lot easier to teach with just two people as well so our lessons have gone a lot smoother. It's definitely a lot quieter without a third though. We have a lot of new people in our district as well, Elder Soller is our new district leader and we got new sisters, they are all awesome!

One of the highlights of this week was being able to watch the Fort Collins Temple Dedication on Sunday. Instead of regular church service we were able to watch the dedication. There were three sessions and we were able to make it to all three of them. President Uchtdorf dedicated it and it was a really uplifting experience.

Another great part of this week was teaching Ethan. We found him tracting and he has been so prepared for this gospel. He is 18 years old and we gave him a Book of Mormon when we first met him. When we met with him again he said it was hard to put it down at night! He reads everyday when he wakes up and when he goes to bed, it's so awesome! And he totally believes it all and has been praying about it everyday! I'm so excited for him and it's really a privilege to teach him.

My faith and testimony of this work have grown in leaps and bounds this week and I'm just thankful that the Lord has given my the opportunity to serve here, I've loved everyday. Well I hope everyone is having fun and being safe!

Elder Morgan
