Week 14: 3 Months!

November 14, 2016

Wow this was another crazy, blessed and happy week! I have had so much fun serving in Canon City 1st and 2nd ward. It was really busy holding down 2 areas though, we had appointments coming out of our ears, which was a very happy thing.

This week we worked a lot with some less active people we came into contact with and got them to church! It was so cool because one day a couple weeks ago we were leaving an appointment that had cancelled and this man walked up to us and started talking to us. It turned out that he was a less active member that had been baptized 2 years ago. He still had a strong testimony and was happy to have us over to teach him and his family. His wife is also a memebr and they have a 1 year old daughter. One night we went over for a lesson and they had a friend move in with them that sat in for the lesson. We asked if she wanted to learn more when we were leaving and now she is investigating the church. So cool how the Lord works.

It was a bummer because we had a bunch of people that were committed to baptism that over the past few weeks have dropped us. But we have 2 really solid guys, Ethan and Kyle, with baptismal dates that I am so excited about.

It was a sad week though because Elder Soller and Sister Pearce went home due to medical problems. Our district is a lot smaller now. It was great though because we got a call from President Rehm last night letting us know that Elder Coverly is coming back to the mission. He was also sent home last transfer due to medical problems but is healthy again. He will be my companion in 2nd ward starting tomorrow and that will probably last through the next transfer.

This has been a crazy training so far but I guess that's what keeps it fun. Anyways I hope everyone is well and happy!

Love,
Elder Morgan
